Final arrangements are currently being made for MD Fluker's three, exciting upcoming speaking tours. The Africa tour is scheduled to be a 12 day tour of Capetown and the surrounding area during the dates of March 19-31. This tour will be followed with a tour in Orlando, Florida in April. In May, the author and speaker will be featured in a multi-stop tour in and around the Cleveland area.
“Millions of Americans are stifled by debt and for most its simply poor financial skills that are spiraling them into a world of financial ruin, but [The Stewardship Model] is a way to pull yourself out of the pit of debt” , said Silke Rible, Host of the ABC 7 News at Noon while interviewing author MD Fluker.
The goal of the interview was to heighten awareness of the Stewardship Model, and discuss how its use has enabled many, including author, MD Fluker, to overcome consumer debt. Fluker has not only eliminated his consumer debt, but has also purchased his own home and established investments.
When asked to describe the model, Fluker explains that “the Stewardship Model consists of two components, personal and financial stewardship. Personal stewardship is highlighted by the discovery of your talent and development of the talent through a positive belief mindset. Financial Stewardship is simply the management and increase of your money.”
To begin developing the personal component of Stewardship, Fluker suggests “meditation a means for revealing your talent.” In some instances, buried talents can be unearthed through self-introspection or self-discovery and in other instances, personal suffering-some crisis or life-changing experience-leads individuals to their greatest destiny.
When asked for tips on improving financial stewardship, the second component of the model, Fluker admonishes individuals to save more and spend less. In general, Americans’ personal savings is at its lowest rate ever, falling to a national average of 0.5 percent last year. Not since the Great Depression have savings been negative for a year. Couple this lack of savings with the fact that consumer spending and debt are on the rise, financial stewardship is sorely needed as problems are on the horizon for many Americans.
